The first trailer for writer-director Alfonso Cuarón’s (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Children of Men) sci-fi thriller Gravity is here and it’s a beauty. The film stars George Clooney and Sandra Bullock and is set for release in Australia on October 3 2012 (USA, October 4).

Based on the footage in the trailer, it looks like we’re in for a visually-specular, thrilling adventure in space.

I loved Children of Men and I think Cuarón’s Harry Potty film was the strongest in the franchise; so before I even saw this trailer I was intrigued. Now, I’m officially excited. For a man who wanted to become a film-maker or an astronaut, this film seems like the perfect fit.

What do you think? Is this a movie you’re looking forward to seeing later in 2013?

  1. I can’t wait for this movie. I heard a rumor that it only has 156 shots in the final cut. That is amazing. Really pumped for Cuarón to show us something new!
