It is no secret how much I love Home Alone. I watched in this Christmas Eve as I have ever single Christmas Eve since it was released. After watching it yesterday I started to wonder what the cast had gone onto. After the jump check out what I found out about some of cast of the film I have watched more than 40 times.
Kevin – Macaulay Culkin
Oh Kevin, life hasn’t been so kind to you since your glory days of childhood acting success. While Culken appeared in a number of successful films in the early 90s, his career fizzled out. He married young, divorcing four years later and moved on to famously dating actress Mila Kunis for 8 years. Culken has battled drug problems; and was called in as a witness at Michael Jackson’s trial where he declared the singer had never acted inappropriately towards him. These days Culken appears sporadically in small film roles and commercials and has recently turned his apartment into a painting studio.
Kate McCallister – Catherine O’Hara
Catherine was already an established actress before Home Alone and she has continued to work extensively in film, comedy and TV since. She is most well-known for her work in Christopher Guest’s “mockumentaties”, most notably Best in Show, A Mighty Wind and For Your Consideration. She could mostly recently be heard as the voices of four animated characters in Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie.
Buzz – Devin Ratray
Since playing the most obnoxious brother on Earth, Ratray has had a number of small roles in film and TV. His most notable role of late was as Bobby Saunders in the 2009 film Surrogates. Ratray is the singer and electric guitarist in a band called Little Bill and the Beckleys (which he formed) that performs live shows in New York.
Fuller – Kieran Culken
Since playing the bed-wetting little cousin, Kieran Culkin has appeared in a number of film and stage productions. Hist most notable roles are Igby in Igby Goes Down (for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe), and as Scott’s roommate Wallace in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
Uncle Frank – Gerry Bamman
The uncle we all loved to hate, Gerry Bamman has acted regularly since his gig as the wise-ass Uncle Frank in the two Home Alone films. Aside from Home Alone, Bamman is most well-known for his work on the TV show Law & Order, which is has appeared in numerous times over a 15 year period.
Harry – Joe Pesci
Before playing crook Harry, Pesci already had an impressive career with the likes of Raging Bull, Once Upon A Time In America and Goodfellas in his filmography. After Home Alone Pesci appeared in a number of 90s action flicks such as the Lethal Weapon franchise and Casino. Pesci retired from acting in 1999, and has only appeared in a few cameo roles since.

Poor Macaulay. I really hope Kieran gets better roles though. He is too cool.
Kieran has been doing some stage work. I think he’ll be okay somehow.
I heard Devin Ratray plays a major part in Alexander Payne’s upcoming Nebraska, which is kinda cool. Groovy post!
That is kind of cool. New Payne!! I really hope it’s more excited than his last flick…
