The first trailer for the new Jeremy Renner lead Bourne film is out. This is the fourth film in the franchise and the first without Matt Damon in the title role. Take a look and see what you think.
Denzel Washington is back in ‘tough guy action mode’ for this gun-totting, knife-stabbing, car-chasing solid but unoriginal action film, set in Cape Town, South Africa.
The film is based around CIA operative Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds) who is the resident agent, or “house-keeper” at a CIA safe house in Cape Town. Matt wants nothing more than to escape the far-flung dreary outpost and become a full case officer in Paris. His mundane daily work-life is shattered when highly sought-after traitor and ex CIA operative Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington) is brought to the safe house for holding.
Tonight the first trailer for the upcoming film The Amazing Spider-Man was unleashed on the world. This was an exciting moment for fans who had been waiting with bated breath to see what was in store for their much-loved character. As well as the release of the trailer, special “sneak previews” were held in several major cities around the world. Thanks to Sony Pictures Australia, we were lucky enough to attend one held in Sydney.
Apart from being a showcase for Ryan Gosling’s chest, Crazy Stupid Love is a conventional romantic comedy where the central relationship is the least compelling of all the story-lines.
Carell stars as Cal Weaver, a rather dowdy middle-aged man who splits from his wife (Julianne Moore) after finding out she has had an affair with a colleague (Kevin Bacon). Cal turns to drinking, and begins to spend a lot of time in a bar complaining about how much his life sucks. At this bar he observes ‘ladies man’ Jacob Palmer (Ryan Gosling) in action. Jacob decides to take the rather desperate Cal under his wing and teach him his women charming ways.
Red Lights is a forthcoming thriller from director/writer Rodrigo Cortés (Buried). It stars Elizabeth Olsen, Robert Di Niro, Sigourney Weaver, and Cillian Muprhy. If the movie is anywhere near as atmospheric as the trailer, we are excited about it. It will be great to see the fantastic Cillian Murphy in a leading role, after a string of successful supporting roles (Inception, The Dark Knight)
Red Lights is set for release in the USA in early March.
